Welcome to South Putnam Community School Corporation

South Putnam Community School corporation is located in south-central Putnam County.  The corporation covers an area of 163 square miles and is crossed by Interstate 70 and U.S. Highway 40 to the east and west, and U.S. Highway 231 to the north and south. South Putnam has approximately 1,150 students in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade among three buildings including South Putnam Middle School/ High School, Central Elementary and Fillmore Elementary.  South Putnam is committed to equipping students for professional and personal success by guiding students to excellence according the Indiana State Standards and the five C's: communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and character. 

What's Happening

2018 Spring ISTEP+ Scores
Soon parents and guardians of students in grades 3-8 and high school who ISTEP+ tested will be receiving claim codes and instructions on using the online parent portal. Beginning June 11th, the portal can be used to view scores and request rescores. Those needing additional assistance in using the parent portal may come to the high school Learning Center on June 13th anytime between the hours of 7:30 am-11:30 am or 12:30 pm-2:30 pm.
