Welcome to South Putnam Community School Corporation

South Putnam Community School corporation is located in south-central Putnam County.  The corporation covers an area of 163 square miles and is crossed by Interstate 70 and U.S. Highway 40 to the east and west, and U.S. Highway 231 to the north and south. South Putnam has approximately 1,150 students in Pre-Kindergarten through 12th grade among three buildings including South Putnam Middle School/ High School, Central Elementary and Fillmore Elementary.  South Putnam is committed to equipping students for professional and personal success by guiding students to excellence according the Indiana State Standards and the five C's: communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking and character.

Home Learning Day
On Monday, February 17, 2020 all South Putnam Schools will have a Home Learning Day. For more information, go to the Home Learning Days tab under the Information.

We are encouraging all students and staff to practice good health hygiene to prevent the spread of any illness, including viruses. South Putnam School Corporation’s sick policy requires a student be fever free and vomit free for 24 hours without the use of over-the-counter medications in order to return to school.
